Taipei, Aug. 18, 2009 (CENS) -- With pressure on price drops for backlight modules easing and quotations of display panels moving upward, as well as popularity of LED (light emitting diode)-backlit products increasing, Taiwanese backlight module suppliers are expected to enjoy rosy sales and shipments in the third quarter of this year, according to industry sources.
Radiant Optoelectronics Corp., for instance, saw its combined revenue surge 21% from a year earlier to NT$3.541 billion (US$107.3 million at US$1: NT$33) in July, making the firm positively project its sales revenue to reach a plateau in August due mainly to strong market demand for backlight modules, ...
