KIDAPAWAN CITY — At least 19 houses, mostly made of light materials, in low-lying areas near the riverbank here, were washed out by strong current of water coming from major rivers located at Mount Apo, the country’s highest peak, last Thursday night, reports from the 505 Search and Rescue Team said.The heavy downpour started around 5 p.m. and continued until 12 midnight.Marlon Ceballos, head of the 505 Search and Rescue Group in Kidapawan City, said three residents of Tahran Subdivision, one of the low-lying areas in Poblacion village, were trapped inside their house when waters rose to as high as 10 feet.After three hours of grueling operations, Ceballos and ...
