The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority is nearly ready take the wraps off the $43.9 million terminal at Niagara Falls International Airport.
The sleek, two-story terminal is scheduled to open Sept. 2. It will replace the obsolete, circa 1950s building that some saw as a 3-ton anvil holding back tourism development in both Niagara and Erie counties. While the NFTA will hold an opening ceremony that day, the two-story terminal won t be operational for another month as crews finish the final bits of construction.
