FDA will hold a public meeting of the Risk Communication Advisory Committee (RCAC) on Aug. 13 and Aug. 14 at the NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION SAFETY BOARD Conference Center in Washington, DC. The Risk Communication Advisory Committee intends to provide advice and recommendations to FDA on its regulatory issues. FDA also issued a final rule term inating and re-chartering the Risk Communication Advisory Committee to change the Committee from a discretionary committee to a statutory one.

The Committee will discuss FDA's external research on, and internal assessment of, communications about food safety problems. This discussion will address research on consumer-knowledge ...
