OTTAWA, ONTARIO, Aug 31, 2009 (Marketwire via COMTEX) -- The Honourable Greg Thompson, Minister of Veterans Affairs, will travel to Poland to represent the Government of Canada in the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Second World War on September 1, 2009. He will participate in a series of commemorative events:
Event 1: Informal Welcome by Donald Tusk, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland
Location: Next to Westerplatte Defenders' Cemetery
