TRANSPORT operator Arriva is set to introduce 29 new buses to its St Helens fleet in September as part of a [pounds sterling]3.8million investment in the local network.
The new buses will run on the 10 and 10a routes that run between Liverpool and St Helens.
Arriva says this is its biggest single investment in any of its routes in the North West this year.
According to the company, this brings the total investment in St Helens to more than [pounds sterling]5.5 million in the last 10 months.
Twelve vehicles were introduced as part of a [pounds sterling]1.7 million effort to improve the 20, 320 and 620 services.
