A COMMUNITY leader from Macassar was at a Langa housing forum to tell how 15 people were still living in a single-room makeshift shack months after being evicted from land earmarked for a housing development - but local and provincial government officials never arrived to hear him.
Siyabulela Sihu told the Cape Argus their situation had become dire.
"We have two people with arthritis who are bedridden, and cannot move in this cold," he said.
