Show on war of independence ends
The six-day photo exhibition featuring images on the war of independence at the Indian Culture Centre in the capital has ended on August 24. Indian High Commission in Dhaka held the show styled 'Liberation War of 1971' in memory of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Liberation War Affairs state minister ABM Tajul Islam on August 19 inaugurated the show. The photos portrayed the nine-month liberation war period, when thirty lakh people of the country were killed and about three lakh women were raped. Every photo portrays the history of 1971.
