GORDON Brown was last night embroiled in a new row amid as it was confirmed he didn't want Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset Ali Al Megrahi to die in jail.
Documents released yesterday suggest the UK government lobbied to have him released after the Libyans were told of Mr Brown's position.
It comes after pictures on Channel 4 television showed Megrahi, who is terminally ill with cancer, lying in his hospital bed.
