US telecoms access equipment specialist Calix has raised financing of US$100mn, money expected to help the company with its expansion plans, the company said in a statement.
Calix's marketing director Geoff Burke told BNamericas that the resources would help the company's expansion into Central and South America. Calix already has an established presence in the Caribbean with projects with LIME Jamaica and with TSTT in Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, the Bahamas and St Kitts.
Calix's CALA operations represented 18% of the company's 2008 revenues, which were some US$250mn, Burke said.
