NITROGEN Chemicals of Zambia (NCZ) has signed an off take agreement with African Explosive Ltd (AEL) in a move that will result in NCZ increasing its ammonium nitrate production to more than 60,000 tonnes per annum.

Speaking during the signing ceremony in Lusaka yesterday, NCZ chief executive officer, Richard Soko said the firm had since 2002 faced numerous problems but had placed emphasis on increasing its ammonium nitrate production.
