Four Jewish and Iranian-American organizations have joined together to call for a new trial for Isaac Larian, who was convicted several months ago by a jury that included a woman who called Iranians "rude" and idea thieves.
Larian, who was born in Iran and is Jewish, owns MGA Entertainment Inc., manufacturer of the very successful Bratz dolls. He was sued successfully by Mattel Inc, maker of the Barbie doll, whose sales slumped under the Bratz attack. Mattel said Larian stole the Bratz concept from Mattel.
