THE plight of a brave 90-year-old widow brutally robbed on her way to lay flowers on her husband's grave has inspired a swathe of sympathy - even from convicted criminals at a Midland prison.

Great great grandmother Nancy Reeve suffered injuries to her face, hand and leg when her attacker struck her in West Bromwich on Saturday, August 22.

He made off with her handbag which contained pounds 50 cash.

Nancy's bravely spoke out against her assailant and her courage has prompted much sympathy and an outpouring of anger at the thug.
