Egypt slips ahead OCI earnings release
Egypt's benchmark index lost 0.76 percent, led by Orascom Construction Industries (OCI), which is due to report second quarter results before trade opens on Thursday morning.
"The market is following markets worldwide," said Mohamed Radwan of Pharos Securities.
OCI slid 1.6 percent. "I think there might be some assumptions about their results," said Radwan.
Commercial International Bank (CIB) shed 1.2 percent and Ezz Steel Rebars 1.1 percent. Telecom Egypt was one of the index's gainers, rising 0.8 percent.
The index closed at 6,544. -- Reuters
