Lucio Tan-led Absolut Chemicals, Inc. has inaugurated its emission reduction project in its plant in Lian, Batangas, the country s largest arrangement under the Kyoto protocol.
In a statement, the alcohol company said Japan's largest general trading company Mitsubishi Corp. committed $2 million for the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project that will help both companies reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
