Every year, Pacific Palisades impersonates a small town in Iowa and throws a community-wide Fourth of July celebration. It starts with a parade down the main street that features bands and floats, and a contingency of marching golden retrievers wearing red, white and blue bandanas. (Technically speaking, other breeds may be included; who can tell though in the sea of goldens?)
