Sep 03, 2009 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Following Australia Post's entry into the insurance sector, the Coles Group retailing division of conglomerate Wesfarmers has unveiled similar plans. It aims to offer home and contents as well as car insurance policies through its supermarkets, starting with a test campaign in Tasmania. Main competitor Woolworths so far has only a credit card available. Wesfarmers General Insurance will be the Coles policies' underwriter.
