The government is ready to develop power plants by using solar cell energy on a large scale as one way to develop renewable energy sources and fulfill electricity needs in remote areas.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has asked PT LEN Industri (Persero) to design a master-plan regarding solar-cell energy development.

The President expects it to be done by October 1 , said LEN Managing Director, Wahyudin Baginda, after meeting the president yesterday (1/9).
