Janet Marie-Smith, who has overseen the eight-year $150 million renovation of the Red Sox' Fenway Park, has left the building. With the renovation of Fenway all but complete, she has jumped coasts to work on yet another landmark stadium, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.
The renovation that moved Fenway from being considered wholly outdated, to now gaining new life, is considered a blueprint for what could be done to the Cubs' Wrigley Field -- taking historic ballparks and making them competitive with the modern ballpark design.
