FIRB further delays approval of CNMC's Lynas stake purchase
Shanghai. September 3. INTERFAX-CHINA - Australia's Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) has once again pushed back its deadline to approve China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co. Ltd.'s (CNMC) acquisition of Lynas Corp. Ltd. stake.
Lynas said in the announcement that the FIRB has not yet made a decision concerning the transaction, and therefore extended its review period by another 30 days, which will now expire in early October. In July, the FIRB asked CNMC to resubmit its application, which extended the initial deadline.
