AUBURN - A bad experience for an Auburn homeowner may serve as a learning experience for other area residents who heat their homes with oil and haven't checked the condition of their oil tanks recently.
An oil tank ruptured during delivery to a home on Prospect Street this summer and the result was a big mess for the owner, Martin Becker, 89 Prospect St., and neighbors.
The cleanup continues, according to Andrew R. Pelletier, Auburn director of public health.
