MOMENTUM: Analysts earnings forecasts have been rising fast as the market has rallied, but the growth estimates are in danger of getting ahead of themselves.

It's not only the prices of shares that are soaring. Analysts have been taking their cue from the market's recovery rally and are pencilling a brighter future for earnings. Evolution Securities calculates that consensus forecasts for 2010 EPS growth have risen from 16 per cent to 20 per cent since the rally began in early March.
