Sunoco, Inc. will divest its retail heating oil and propane distribution unit, Sunoco Retail Heat, as the listed, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based petrochemicals company seeks to focus on petroleum production and distribution.
The buyer, Superior Plus Corp., will pay $82.5 million in cash for the retail distribution business. Formerly known as Superior Plus Income Fund, the Calgary-based holding company owns propane distribution, specialty chemicals, construction products, and energy services businesses.
