Adlabs Films Ltd. will invest about 2.5 billion rupees ($51.3 million) this fiscal year for setting up movie screens, building film and television studios and establishing a business process outsourcing center, its chief executive said Friday.

Mumbai-based Adlabs will invest about 1 billion rupees for increasing the number of movie screens to over 500 by March 2010 from about 457 screens now, Anil Arjun told Dow Jones Newswires over the phone.

Adlabs, which is among India's top movie screen builders by number of screens, plans to add 100 screens in the next 12 months, he said.
