To serve a note of warning to its franchisees, and improve the quality of food served in the Karnataka Express, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has taken over the responsibility of catering on the train from September 2.
This is the first train under the South Western Railway Division, where IRCTC has directly taken charge of catering.
