Lopez-led Bayan Telecommunications Inc. (Bayan) is setting its focus on teaming up with more value-added service (VAS) providers instead of looking for partners that can save the company from its debt troubles.

According to Bayan Chief Financial Consultant Tunde Fafunwa, the move is part of the firm's commitment to strengthen its position in the broadband arena.

"We are more focused on partnership with service providers. Together, we can come up with new products and services. A lot of things are happening in the market like content and media. Cooperation and partnerships are definitely going to be more evident in the future," ...
