Delta State University (DSU) in Cleveland has multiple irons in the fire with construction projects ranging from new dormitories, chilled water plant and walking trail for students and community members.

Still in the design phase are plans for construction of a new student residence hall for men and women and a new set of 30 apartments for faculty, staff and married students.

The 362-bed dormitory will replace two residence halls that were demolished to make way for the new buildings.

"They were outdated," said DSU president Dr. John Hilpert. "It would've cost more to bring them to current standards."
