STAR TRIBUNE EXCLUSIVE - ONLY IN YOUR SUNDAY PAPER Stacia Rice imagined she had a neat idea for her annual fundraiser. Torch Theater would stage three episodes of the old "Mary Tyler Moore" show. It would be fun and catchy and the Twin Cities press would certainly consider it worth a shout-out.
The Torch Theater founder, however, underestimated the brand power of Mary Tyler Moore. Within hours of issuing a press release announcing that Torch would perform the scripts, the Associated Press had moved a story. Playbill.com picked up on the item. So did the Newark (N.J.)
