Ovarian cancer genomic tests not reducing deaths

Many genomic tests that are currently used to diagnose and guide treatment of ovarian cancer are not shown to decrease the number of women who die from the disease or improve their quality of life, according to a new report supported by a partnership between the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (Washington) the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention?s (Atlanta) Division of Cancer Prevention and Control, and CDC?s National Office of Public Health Genomics.
