Q Will "SedgeHammer" (formerly "Manage") kill nutgrass sedge even after it has developed a deep system of roots and "nutlets" (i.e., tubers) several feet deep below my turf? (My new sod!) I am only beginning the process, and I have used enough Manage to know it will kill the emergent plants but can it ever, even with repeated applications, really kill all or substantially all of the nuts (i.e., tubers) 2-3 feet below turf / soil levels? I can't help but doubt it can.--CA
The answer to your question is, yes it is possible, if you are persistent. Repeated and timely applications of SedgeHammer will help manage nutsedge. In 2005 Manage herbicide by Monsanto was ...
