KEMIRA HAS FORMED a joint venture in mineral animal feed nutrients with Kynoch Feeds of South Africa to supply markets in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and South America. The 50-50 venture, to be based in South Africa, will initially have an annual turnover of $35 million in phosphate feed supplements.
The companies believe, however, that a logistical advantage over other international feed supplement producers will enable, the venture to expand rapidly in regions of high growth. They also expect a solid business for other animal feed ingredients, such as acidifiers.
