In her December editor's note, Nancy Moore, editor and publisher of Coral Gables-based South Florida, promised readers a new magazine. In January, that's what they got: South Florida relaunched, changed mission and called itself Miami Metro.
The new magazine's aim is to be the voice of America's "emerging premier global city," says Moore, covering Miami and the southern region with a new editorial focus that reflects the glamour and grit of the city.
Founded in 1920 as The Miamian, the title was originally published by the city's Chamber of Commerce until 1975, when it was bought by Sylvan Meyer (an editor of the former Miami News) and some investors, ...
