Length: Several miles of trails.
Level of difficulty: Level-to moderate dirt/gravel and grassy trails.
Setting: This 412-acre park 40 minutes east of Bellingham lies tucked in a mountain glen alongside pretty Silver Lake. Red Mountain and Black Mountain flank the park and their slopes bear signs of the area's past and present logging activity. The park is popular with families, and makes a good camping base for hikes up into Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
