Foreign investors purchased a net $272 million of shares in companies traded on the Istanbul Stock Exchange in August, according to data from the bourse.

Foreigners last month bought $5.07 billion of shares and sold $4.8 billion, the exchange said on its website. Among the most-traded shares were Isbank, Turkey's biggest listed bank, in which foreigners bought a net $69 million, and flag carrier Turkish Airlines, of which they bought a net $43 ...
