CLEVELAND, June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- M.A. Hanna Company (NYSE: MAH; Chicago), one of the world's leading independent compounders of thermoplastics and Rubber, and UBE Industries, Ltd. (Toronto: 4208), Japan's largest producer of nylon resins and compounds for the plastics industry, have formed a 50/50 global joint venture, the companies announced today.

The new venture will manufacture and sell nylon 6, nylon 6/6 and nylon 12 plastic compounds in North America, Europe and China.
