A consortium led by Alstom has secured a 40m ([pounds sterling]35m) contract to supply eight emergency diesel generators (EDGs) to the Taishan nuclear power plant in Guangdong, China.
The contract will see Alstom supply the design, manufacturing and procurement for eight 9.1MW EDGs that are due to be commissioned in 2013, as well as the provision of an on-site support service.
Alstom previously supplied two 1,750MW Arabelle turbine-generator packages for the Taishan plant. In July last year, it also secured a 200m contract with the China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group (CGNPG) for the engineering and procurement of the complete ...
