IT was the ultimate in Celtic Tiger extravagance and you cartainly had to be super-rich to have one of its 'billionaire's row' pads. But those days are well and truly gone, because the K Club is about to become a timeshare resort.

Management are describing their cut-price sale as 'fractional living' to keep up appearances with owners of golf club properties, such as developer Sean Dunne and horse breeder John Magnier.

Owned by tax-exile paper magnate Michael Smurfit, the club has up to 81 apartments and houses which have been on the property market since they were built three years ago.
