The $1.4 billion San Jose Federated City Employees' Retirement System is in the midst of searches for small-cap value and international equity managers, said Ron Kumar, financial analyst at the fund.
The small-cap value mandate is currently managed by Brandywine Global Investment Management, which has underperformed its benchmark. The trustees are conducting the search to see how other managers are stacking up against firm. The portfolio is slated to be $35 million in size.
