*AbitibiBowater cuts top execs: In a bid to become a leaner company, newsprint maker AbitibiBowater Inc. of Montreal said on Thursday that it was cutting its executive team from nine to six and that it would cut more of its 750-person executive corps in the coming weeks. The company wouldn't say how many head-office jobs it is looking to cut.
