Although not as robust as in previous years, sales of packaged tortillas and tortilla kits remain healthy as consumers search for value and look for ways to add a bit of flair to their home meals.

According to Chicago-based Information Resources, Inc., dollar sales outpaced unit growth as most tortilla producers raised prices over the last year in an attempt to make up for rising commodity and flour costs.
