Florida is offering a Pet Amnesty Day for python owners to safely get rid of the snakes with no questions asked, authorities said.
The Oct. 3 reptile amnesty day at Gatorland, near Orlando, is one way for state fish and wildlife agents to control the number of pythons illegally kept by people not qualified to care for them, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported Tuesday.
