On August 20th, 2009 Hengyang Kingboard Chemical Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Kingboard Chemical Holdings Ltd., laid a foundation for the construction of its 100 000 t/a ion-membrane caustic soda and 50 000 t/a epichlorohydrin project at Songmu Industry Park, Hengyang, Hunan province in central China.
As part of the company's phase IV project, the 100 000 t/a ion-membrane caustic soda and 50 000 t/a epichlorohydrin project has an investment of RMB560 million and is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in December 2010.
