Some fail the test. I've watched Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Wash., nod seriously at blame-America broadsides from the loony left. In contrast, conservative pundit William F. Buckley, in National Review, denounced the John Birch Society and lampooned its claim that Dwight Eisenhower was a conscious agent of the Communist conspiracy.
