LEXINGTON, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 15, 1998--Lexmark International, Inc. announced today that it has signed an agreement licensing the JetSend technology from Hewlett-Packard and is working with HP as a technical contributor in the development of future enhancements to the core JetSend technology. Additionally, Lexmark will work with HP and other JetSend licensees to develop a formal process to drive future enhancements to the JetSend technology standard.

The HP JetSend communications technology is a device-to-device communications protocol designed to simplify interaction between information appliances.
