THE ashes of Northern Ireland's last Battle of Britain Hurricane ace were scattered yesterday as an RAF jet fighter flew over in a final salute to Mad Mac.
Proud family and friends of Wing Commander Ken Mackenzie, DFC, stood in tribute to the gallant pilot.
He had earned his nickname when he downed an enemy plane with his wing tip after he ran out of ammo.
