The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) Thursday named the winner for the P14.5-billion, 25-year Manila North Harbor (MNH) Modernization Project, an initiative which has spanned almost three decades and the administration of four Philippine presidents.The lone eligible bidder, the consortium of Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC) and Harbour Centre Port Terminal (HCPT), submitted a P14.5 billion bid for the project last month (Aug. 14, 2009).
