VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Jackson Hewitt, the nation's fastest growing franchise tax service, announced today that it realized a 39 percent increase in tax-return applications during the 1998 tax season, while the number of franchised offices grew from 1,500 to more than 2,000 in 150 markets. In addition, the Company also announced that its goals for expansion this year are ahead of schedule. Jackson Hewitt expects to have 3,000 offices opened by the end of the 1999 tax season.
