The United States Mint announced that the nation will honor Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota through its new quarter-dollar coin program. The Mount Rushmore design will be the 20th to be featured on coins released under the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Program, and will be issued in 2013.
Over the decades, Mount Rushmore has grown in fame as a symbol of America - a symbol of freedom and a hope for people from all cultures and backgrounds.
