Painter Jeannette Scott was a star in Syracuse's artistic landscape back in the day. She died in 1927 and her reputation faded.
Cara Burton, director of Solvay Public Library, means to do something about that.
The library has put together a small exhibit of Scott's work, which officially opens Sunday. It's called "Bringing Her Work to Light." The show runs until Nov. 15 at 615 Woods Road, in the village.
"Jeannette Scott was quite the woman of her time," according to Burton. "She was a really cool lady."
