Sometime this month, the proposed consolidation of the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation and the Printing Industries of America is scheduled to reach another mile marker, specifically, a final agreement drafted for dues payments by PIA affiliates.
This seems like a good time to revisit this proposed consolidation, which we've reported on from time to time in our news pages. By summer, the actual legal action to unify GATF (which has annual operating revenues of about $10 million) and PIA (about $12 million) is expected to take effect.
